HID Conversion KIT

Issue: HID Conversion Kit fails to turn on.
Solutions:
Reversing the polarity works 99% of the time for HID kits, as demonstrated here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dR9k_zLD2TM
Step (1) Reversing Polarity: Rotate the ballast input (red or black oval) 2-pin connector 180 degrees
Step (2) Increase the fuses (both in the car fuse box and the relay harness) to 20A.
Step (3) Ensure all connections are tightly secured.
Step (4) If the HID kit is installed with the relay wiring harness, check for clean and secure grounds

Dual Beam (Bi-Xenon or Low Xenon or High Halogen) Headlights Issue:
Reversed low beam for high beam and high beam for a low one, or one of the beams doesn’t operate. (This concerns the dual beam bulb sizes as follows: H4 (9003), H13 (9008), 9004 (HB1) and 9007 (HB5)).
Solutions:
Step (1) Release the pins in the 3-pin connector and reorder them. You may need several attempts to determine the proper configuration.

Issue: HID Conversion Kit is flickering on and off (strobing)
Solutions:
If you have a single beam and low HID / high halogen headlights:
Step (1) Install a relay harness with load resistors/cancelers. Relay Canceller Combo.
https://www.hidnation.com/collections/hid-accessories/products/hid-relay-canceller-combo
Step (2) Disable the DRL and/or automotive lights.
Step (3) Increase the fuse strength both in the car fuse box and the relay harness to 20A.
Step (4) Check all the connections. Clean them if necessary.
Step (5) Check the car battery. It should be delivering a minimum of 12V.

If you’re using a BI-XENON:
Step (1) Install decoders/cancelers
https://www.hidnation.com/products/hid-led-resistor-harness

Step (2) Disable DRL and/or automotive lights.
Step (3) Raise the fuses in both the car fuse box and relay harness to 20A.
Step (4) Check all the connections. Clean them if necessary.
Step (5) Check the car battery. It should be providing a minimum of 12V.

Issue: Only one side of the HID headlights stopped working
Solutions:
Step (1) Check all the connections. Clean them if necessary.
Step (2) Please switch the sides of the ballasts to determine if the issue follows the ballast to the other side of the vehicle or if the issue persists on the same side with the bulb.

Issue: The ballasts make noise when you turn on the car.
Solutions:
Step (1) Ballasts absorb power when you turn on your engine. Ignore the noise. It will subside after you switch it on and off a few times.

Issue: The colors the HID bulbs emit in the headlights differ.
Solutions:
Step (1) New light bulbs may differ slightly for the first few hours, but they are likely to even out within a short period of time.
Step (2) The housings require alignment because their heights differ. If this is the case, we recommend getting the help of a professional mechanic.
Step (3) Cleaning the lenses may resolve the issue.
Step (4) Check if the bulb or ballast is faulty (i.e. swapping the bulbs to test if it works on other side).

Issue: The HID KIT works when the engine is off, but stops working when you start your car.
Solution:
Step (1) Install a Relay/Canceler Combo (Relay harness with load resistors)

WARNINGS
Please read all the warnings before installation to avoid personal injury and damage to your vehicle or to your HID and LED systems.
1. These systems produce high voltage electricity that may be the source of DANGER. Therefore, we do recommend PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION.
2. These systems produce heat that may be the source of DANGER. Therefore, we highly recommend PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION.
3. DO NOT mount ballasts, resistors, or warning cancellers in NON-HEAT-RESISTANT SURFACE.
